When you think peat, typically Islay distilleries come to mind – with their range of peats from sweet grass to medicinal to ash tray.

However on this particular evening, we explored peat from Highland… and what a trio!

Whisky Ladies Peaty Highland drams:

• Inchmoan 12 year 46% (Loch Lomond Distillery Island Collection) – A Highland whisky from Loch Lomond distillery
• Aird Mhor 8 year (2009/2018) 55.3% (Single Malts of Scotland) – Another Highland dram from Ardmore distillery
• Ballechin Heavily Peated 12 year 54.5% – A final Highland from Edradour distillery
